SOUTHERN ALBERTA WALLEYE TRAIL PARTICIPATION RELEASE

In consideration of participating in any way in the Southern Alberta Walleye Trail, further mentioned as SAWT in this document; the undersigned acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that:

• The risk of injury from the activities involved in this tournament is significant to myself and youth anglers that I amresponsible for, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while rules, equipment and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of injury does exist; and
• I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS for myself and youth anglers that I am responsible for, both know and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and
• I willingly agree to comply with the applicable rules and regulations for participation for myself and youth anglers that I am responsible for. If, however, I or the youth anglers that I am responsible to observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself and the youth anglers I am responsible for from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and
• All participants are required to act with due care for their own safety and the safety of others while participating in the tournament and any related activities. Angler and Young Angler Fishing Tournaments Inc. AYA does not assume any liability or responsibility for any participant. AYA will not be responsible for any personal injury to participants or for any loss of, or damage to the personal property of participants, while participating in the tournament.
• All participants agree to provide contact information requested on the Registration Form and all participant forms for all events and agrees to receive email and communication updates from SAWT and any sponsors for that participation year.
• I, for myself and the youth anglers I am responsible for and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, person representative and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE, INDEMNIFY, AND HOLD HARMLESS Angler and Young Angler Fishing Tournaments Inc., and their affiliates and each of their respective members, owners, officers, directors, governors, employees, agents, representatives, contractors, successors and assigns, officials, volunteers, other participants, sponsoring agencies sponsors, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (“Releasees”), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, DISAABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARRISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
• I agree to the rules and regulations put forth by the SAWT and agree that I have read and fully understand all rules and regulations for participating in the SAWT events.
• I agree to the rules and regulations put forth by the SAWT regarding the picture tournament rules, SD card rules and catch and release rules while participating in the SAWT events.
